The order made by Acting Chief Justice Sapna Pradhan Malla has been implemented by the Supreme Court administration two days later.

On 4th Jestha, Malla had ordered the Chief Registrar and Registrar to register the petition against the bench by 1 pm in the name of the Chief Registrar and Registrar. The writ petitioner, Premraj Silwal, said that the writ petition was registered after the Chief Registrar, who left the Supreme Court without registering it on that day, gave permission to register it on Wednesday. According to him, the first presentation of the writ petition has been scheduled for 11 Jestha. Supreme Court spokesperson Arjun Koirala said that the petition has been registered in the case of Advocate Silwal and the Supreme Court administration has also informed the other two writ petitioners to come for registration. He said that if they file their petitions, they will be scheduled for presentation on Monday and presented in the bench.

By issuing an ordinance related to the Constitutional Council, the Constitutional Council had decided to recommend the name of Manoj Kumar Sharma, who is in the fourth position, for the post of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has filed the petition after Sharma was recommended and sworn in after a parliamentary hearing, beating out Sapana Pradhan Malla, who was in the first place, Kumar Regmi and Hari Prasad Phuyal.

This petition will now be filed before a single-judge bench. If the bench orders the registration of the petition and the cancellation of the petition, the hearing process will proceed, otherwise the petition will be finalized. Senior advocate Dinesh Tripathi and advocate Silwal had also filed the writ.
