The Nepal Bar Association has objected to the Supreme Court administration not registering the writ petition.

The Nepal Bar has said that the Supreme Court's reluctance to register the petition filed against the Constitutional Council's decision, even though it has been filed, is an obstruction of the constitutionally granted rights. In a statement issued by General Secretary Kedar Koirala, he said that there have been complaints that the Supreme Court administration has remained silent by not registering or filing. The association has drawn the attention of the Supreme Court administration in this regard through a statement.

'If there is delay in registering the petition even in the temple of people's justice, saying that the court should always be open and impartial in any situation, what will be the situation elsewhere,' the Bar Association's statement states.

Senior advocate Dinesh Tripathi, advocate Prem Silwal and others had filed a writ petition alleging that judicial tradition was violated and the executive had interfered after the government recommended Manoj Kumar Sharma, who is in the fourth position, as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court administration had filed the writ petition. They had filed a petition against it in the bench, but the administration had not registered it and had drawn the attention of the Bar. The Bar drew the attention of the Supreme Court administration after the petition of the legal practitioner.
