Speaker Aryal recommended Prakash Adhikari to President Ram Chandra Poudel on Wednesday morning for the appointment of Adhikari as Secretary of the House of Representatives. According to Parliament Secretariat sources, the recommendation for the appointment of Adhikari as Secretary of the House of Representatives has reached the President's Office.
The President will appoint the Secretary of the House of Representatives as per the recommendation. The Secretary of the House of Representatives is a constitutional post. As per the provisions of Article 106 of the Constitution, the Secretary of the House of Representatives is appointed by the President on the recommendation of the Speaker.
Adhikari is a permanent resident of Khandbari Municipality in Sankhuwasabha. He has a Master's degree in Rural Development from Tribhuvan University and has studied a Master's degree in International Trade and Economic Partnership from a university in South Korea.
He retired from the post of Deputy Secretary after working in the civil service for 24 years.
