The BP Highway, which was blocked due to rain, has been reopened. The continuous rain for the past few days had washed away the diversions placed at various places on the road section from Bhakunde to Nepalthok.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabin Bista, Information Officer of the District Police Office, Kavre, informed that traffic operations resumed at 8:30 am on Thursday after the diversion was repaired.
The Katunjebesi-Nepalthok road section was damaged due to the flood in the Roshi River in Asoj 2081. Traffic has been operating on this section, which is currently under reconstruction, by placing diversions. But the highway was completely blocked since Monday after the flood caused by the recent rain washed away the diversion.
The District Administration Office, Kavre, has issued a notification banning traffic operations on the highway for 12 hours daily from 5 pm to 5 am, effective from last Tuesday.
