The trade unions were registered with the department under the Civil Service Act, 2049 (Third Amendment, 2074) and the Nepal Health Service Act, 2053 (Fourth Amendment, 2070).

notice, the national-level trade unions of civil servants registered under Sub-section (2) of Section 53 of the repealed Civil Service Act, 2049 (Third Amendment, 2074) include Nepal Civil Servants Organization (Registration No. 214), Nepal Civil Servants Union (Registration No. 215), Nepal National Civil Servants Organization (Registration No. 219), Nepal Madhesi Civil Servants Forum (Registration No. 231), Nepal Health Workers Association (Registration No. 272), Madhesi Health Workers Forum Nepal (Registration No. 284), Unified Government Employees Organization, Nepal (Registration No. 423) and Independent Civil Servants Organization, Nepal (Registration No. 570).
Similarly, the national-level trade unions registered under Section 12A (1) of the Fourth Amendment to the Nepal Health Service Act, 2053 (2070) include the Nepal Health Workers Union (Registration No. 360), Health Workers Union Nepal (Registration No. 361), National Health Workers Association, Nepal (Registration No. 364) and National Progressive Health Workers Organization (Registration No. 452).
