The Kathmandu District Court has refused to extend the time limit for businessman Shekhar Golchha. The bench of Justice Mohana Singh has ordered that the time limit will not be extended.
He was released after the Supreme Court ordered his release on bail or appearance bond on Monday. The police immediately arrested him and presented him at the Kathmandu District Court for an extension of time limit.
'The situation did not appear to require the defendant Golchha to be kept in custody and the case to be investigated.' The court order said that it was not possible to extend the time limit for the investigation by keeping him in custody as per Section 14 (3) of the Criminal Procedure Code 2074 BS. With this order, he will now be released on bail or bail.
