The government has made temporary accommodation arrangements for those displaced from the squatter settlements today at 5 places.
They will be housed at Tewa (Dhapakhel), Electricity Training Center (Kharipati), Agricultural Development Bank Training Center (Bode), Drinking Water Training Center (Nagarkot), Vegetable Market Management Center (Chobar) and Red Cross (Banepa).

By afternoon, 50 families from the squatter settlements in Balkhu and Bansighat have registered their names. A joint team of the Urban Development and Building Construction Department, Kathmandu Valley Development Authority, the empowered Bagmati Civilization Integrated Development Committee and Kathmandu Metropolitan Police is collecting details at the Dashrath Stadium.
After collecting the details, the government is preparing to take them to the designated ‘holding center’ after conducting a health check-up and psychological counseling.
