Twenty people who lost their lives in a jeep accident that occurred yesterday while they were going from Rukum East to Jaljala in Rolpa have been identified. One person who was injured in the accident has returned home after treatment.
Although all the passengers were from Rukum East, some were from Rukum East and some from Dang district, Rolpa Police has informed. According to Police Inspector Sunil Thapa Nepali, Information Officer of the District Police Office, Rolpa, the deceased are Gorkha BK, 32, Tilkumari Budhathoki, 53, Yuva BC, 28, Divyan BC, 10, Srijana Budhathoki, 24, Sudip Budhathoki, 13, and Om Kumari Budhathoki, 40. 
Similarly, 54-year-old Dorpati GC, 32-year-old Tila GC, 7-year-old Janis GC, 12-year-old Jenisa GC, 25-year-old Alina GC, 7-year-old Sanyog GC and Yama Bahadur GC, whose age is unknown, and Dhanmaya Bista, a resident of Ghorahi-13, are the deceased.
Also, 42-year-old Bedu Kami, a driver from Shantinagar Rural Municipality of Dang and currently residing in Sisne-5, 60-year-old Meena Kamini and 60-year-old Laxmi Shah of Sisne-5, and Tek Prasad Basnet of Bhume Rural Municipality-5 of Rukum East and 27-year-old Rupmina Basnet of Sisne-5 have been identified as the victims.
Police have stated that the recovery of the bodies has been delayed due to the difficult terrain at the scene of the incident.
Police Inspector Nepali informed that the deceased was identified after collecting information from other passengers from Rukumkot who were heading towards Jaljala and verifying the information with security personnel deployed at the scene. One of the passengers in the jeep says that he saved his life by jumping from the roof.
