Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Maeda Toru and Law Minister Sobita Gautam have met. The meeting took place at the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs in Singha Durbar on Thursday. During the meeting, discussions were held on continuing past cooperation on law reform, emphasizing the need for appropriate laws to regulate issues such as information technology and artificial intelligence in the context of changing global politics, and identifying additional areas of cooperation.

In addition, Minister Gautam's secretariat stated that the discussions included conveying the message that Nepal is open for discussion if there is any issue that the Japanese government needs.
