The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, which is preparing to return the deposits of cooperative savers, has held phased discussions with various parties.

Minister Pratibha Rawal held discussions with chartered accountants on Wednesday morning, focusing on the issue of recovering money from troubled cooperatives and returning the deposits of the affected savers.

Attorney General Dr. Narayan Dutt Kandel and Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) Chief AIG Manoj KC.

Attorney General Dr. Kandel informed Minister Rawal about the status of the court process of cases related to troubled cooperatives, while AIG KC briefed him on the status of the investigation.

After the discussion, Attorney General Dr. Kandel and AIG KC have committed to providing necessary facilitation to expedite the process of recovering the money stuck in troubled cooperatives.

Attorney General Dr. Kandel said that the Attorney General's Office will play a special role in resolving the legal complications in the process of returning the money to the savers. He said, 'A separate desk has been established in the Attorney General's Office to look into the cases related to problematic cooperatives, which will play a more effective role.'

AIG KC said, 'The CIB will make the necessary coordination to return the money to the savers by legally resolving some of the complications seen in the investigation.'
