A writ petition has been filed in the Supreme Court demanding the suspension of National Independent Party President Ravi Lamichhane's MP post. Advocate Ayush Badal has filed the petition.

According to Supreme Court spokesperson Arjun Koirala, a study is being conducted on whether to register a writ or not.

The writ petition claims that Lamichhane, who is under trial for money laundering and organized crime, should be suspended from his MP post and should not be allowed to participate in the House of Representatives. The writ petition demands that the interim order be issued and the suspension be maintained as Lamichhane, who should be suspended, is participating in the Parliament meeting.

The Supreme Court will register the writ if it finds legal grounds to register it, and if it does not, it will file a bench.
