The government has formed a three-member committee led by the Vice Chairman of the Planning Commission to select the chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of Nepal.

The cabinet meeting held today decided to form a recommendation committee led by Planning Commission Vice Chairman Gunakar Bhatta to appoint the vacant chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of Nepal. The committee includes Finance Secretary Dhanshyam Upadhyay and Bhuvan Dahal.

A few days ago, Securities and Exchange Board Chairman Santosh Narayan Shrestha resigned. Similarly, the government has nominated Dilliraj Acharya as the chairman of the Problematic Cooperative Management Committee. The members include Nawaraj Simkhada and Roshan Shakya.

The cabinet meeting has approved the submission of the ordinance brought for the elections held on 21 Falgun as a bill. The government has also decided to approve the submission of the bill amending the Nepal Special Services Act, the House of Representatives Election Act Amendment Bill and the Voter List  Act Amendment Bill in the House of Representatives.
