Madhesh Pradesh has won an impressive victory over Nepal Police Club in the Prime Minister's Cup National One-Day Cricket Tournament held in Birgunj on Wednesday.  Madhesh defeated Police Club by 4 wickets in the match held at the TB Shah Cricket Ground.

Madhesh, who elected to field first after winning the toss, bowled out Nepal Police Club for 130 runs in 40 overs and 3 balls. For Police, Kushal Bhurtel scored 39 runs in 42 balls while Shankar Rana added 27 runs in 61 balls. The team was reduced to a small total as other batters failed to make significant contributions.

Madhesh's bowler Ashiq Baitha took 3 wickets for 21 runs in 10 overs, while Pawan Saraf also took 3 wickets for 25 runs in 9 overs and 3 balls to destroy the opposition batting lineup. Police Club was under pressure due to Madhesh's excellent bowling.

Madhesh, chasing a modest target of 131 runs, won the match easily. Madhesh registered a significant victory by achieving the target by losing 6 wickets in 24 overs and 1 ball. For Madhesh, Araniko Yadav played an important innings of 65 runs unbeaten in 44 balls while batting excellently.
