President Ram Chandra Poudel has said that the New Year is a day to set a common national goal for the country and resolve to achieve it.

Expressing his best wishes on the occasion of the New Year 2083, he mentioned that goals will not be achieved by chance and that determination and hard work are necessary to achieve them. He emphasized that in order to achieve the set goals, it is necessary to assimilate the laws and statutes as well as to behave in a cultured manner.

Stating that the calendars in use in the country are an important part of our history, civilization and life, he said that they represent our civilization, social life and traditions, remind us of Nepal's glorious past and inspire us to move forward towards a prosperous future.

President Poudel stated that the recent successful election of the House of Representatives has provided a way out of the difficult situation and mentioned that a new government has been formed based on the new mandate of the people. 'Through this election, the Nepali people have expressed their desire for development and prosperity with the rule of law, sustainable peace, good governance, social justice through a federal democratic republican governance system,' he said. 'For this, they also wanted us to resolve to move forward with a firm goal.'

President Poudel mentioned that we should move forward with the citizen at the center, remain committed to good governance, be committed to inclusion and social justice, and work in a way that the country's independence and sovereignty are not compromised under any circumstances. He wished that the New Year would inspire us to further strengthen national unity by deepening the spirit of mutual trust, goodwill, tolerance, and cooperation.
