National Assembly Speaker Narayan Prasad Dahal has left for Istanbul, Turkey today, leading a parliamentary delegation to participate in the 152nd General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU). The Federal Parliament Secretariat has stated that Speaker Dahal will deliver a speech on the topic of ‘ensuring peace and justice for future generations’ at the General Assembly to be held in Istanbul from April 2 to 6. During the visit, he is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with the heads of parliaments of various countries. Speaker Dahal is also scheduled to deliver a speech at the fifth conference of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Parliamentary Network. Parliament Secretariat Spokesperson Ekram Giri informed that the lawmakers included in the Nepali delegation will participate in the program of the Standing Committee of the Inter-Parliamentary Union. The Nepali delegation is scheduled to return home on April 8.
