The ‘Attitude Mountain Ama Dablam Expedition 2026’ team organized by Friends Adventure Team Pvt. Ltd. has successfully completed the ascent of the technically challenging peak Ama Dablam (6,812 meters).

This was the first successful ascent of the 2026 monsoon season, said Rajendra Lama, a member of the Nepal Tourism Board.

He said that this presents an excellent example of the ability of Nepali guides, safety management and international cooperation.

As of Friday, 58 people from 5 climbing teams have obtained permits for Ama Dablam. According to the Department of Tourism, as of Friday, 544 people from 64 countries including Nepal have obtained permits to climb 23 mountains including Everest.
