An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) service has been launched at Tribhuvan International Airport to make emergency health care more effective. In a press release issued by the airport office on Tuesday, it was informed that the device has been installed and put into use at the international terminal (both arrival and departure).
The AED device has been installed with the priority of the health safety of airport users and air passengers. It is stated that this service has been launched with the aim of providing immediate first aid in cases of sudden heart problems, difficulty breathing, fainting, etc.
According to the release, the AED device will provide immediate help in such emergency situations as life can be at risk if proper treatment is not received on time. This device is expected to be effective in providing quick first aid, especially to patients with heart attacks or respiratory problems.
In addition, in the first phase, the relevant airport employees have been trained on the correct use of the device. Health desk employees as well as KMC And health workers from Hyams Hospital have also been involved in the training.0
