Inspecting the BP Highway under reconstruction on Tuesday, Minister Gurung directed to work in a way that the road is not obstructed at any time. He also instructed the officials of the Road Department and construction entrepreneurs to adopt adequate safety while working. Stating that even rescue operations are difficult due to rain, he also directed to immediately construct a helipad at a suitable location. Minister Gurung emphasized that the safety of workers is important.

The BP Highway, which was damaged by the flood of 2081, is currently being reconstructed. Due to the reconstruction work, vehicles are currently operating from Chowkidanda to Nepalthok through Roshi Khola. Due to this, the highway is obstructed even during normal rains. According to the Road Division Office, 25 percent of the highway reconstruction work has been completed.
