He had recently been the private legal practitioner of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) President Rabi Lamichhane and had also worked in the RSSS's law department. He has worked in various roles in organizations including Freedom Forum, Human Rights Peace Society, Amnesty International, and others in the past.
He worked in journalism at Radio Nepal, Nepalvani Weekly, Rashtrapukar, and Rajdhani Daily. In 2063 BS, he received a scholarship from the Irish Center for Human Rights to pursue higher education. He did his PhD from Queen's University, UK.
