In a meeting of the House of Representatives, senior member Arjun Narsingh KC announced that Aryal was elected unopposed as only one proposal was submitted.

Dol Prasad Aryal (DP Aryal) has been elected unopposed as the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Senior member Arjun Narsingh KC announced that Aryal was elected unopposed in today's meeting of the House of Representatives as only one proposal was submitted.

The proposal of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) President Ravi Lamichhane to elect Aryal as the Speaker was passed in the meeting. The proposal was supported by Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam, and Minister for Physical, Infrastructure, Transport and Urban Development Sunil Lamsal.

Senior member Arjun Narsingh KC announced that Aryal was elected unopposed as only the proposal of Deputy Speaker Aryal was submitted. Aryal was elected from Kathmandu-9 in the House of Representatives member election held on 21 Falgun.

Aryal was the only candidate to be nominated for the post of Speaker last Friday. Accordingly, it was officially announced on Sunday that he was elected unopposed from the House of Representatives.
