President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Chandra Prasad Dhakal, has said that cooperation with the international community has achieved significant achievements in investment promotion and private sector development.

Addressing a program organized with the diplomatic community and development partners in Kathmandu on Tuesday, President Dhakal noted that the relationship between the Federation and foreign partners has reached new heights in the past years. He also said that the support of international development partners and diplomatic agencies is indispensable for Nepal's economic development and empowerment of the private sector.

He said that the cooperation with the Federation and the diplomatic community and development partners has played an important role in strengthening Nepal's private sector.

He said, "Your cooperation in areas ranging from policy dialogue to investment promotion and capacity building has helped us move forward. The new leadership of the Federation will also further strengthen relations with diplomatic and development partners."

President Dhakal said that their contribution in promoting trade, investment and business-to-business relations has created new opportunities. He said that it has made a significant contribution to promoting entrepreneurship and strengthening institutions. Dhakal said that the joint efforts in the areas of green development, skill development, innovation and inclusive business have started showing positive results. “The federation has also focused on emerging areas such as the digital economy and green business,” he said. “The international community’s continued support for Nepal, even in challenging times, has reflected its trust and commitment to Nepal.”
