Transparency International Nepal has welcomed the government's governance reform blueprint. In a statement on Tuesday, Transparency International Nepal President Madan Kumar Sharma said that the 100-point agenda for governance reform is a commendable start to controlling corruption.

Transparency also noted that the agenda for governance reform has come in line with the people's desire for good governance and that the newly formed government, with a two-thirds majority, has responded to the sentiments and demands of the people and has included issues of good governance that have been raised for years. 'By passing a comprehensive agenda with a deadline for good governance in the first meeting itself, the government has shown its commitment to the interests and welfare of the people,' the statement said.
