Minister Pokharel had issued an urgent notice on Sunday night, announcing that it had decided to completely close all types of 'entrance' preparation classes and 'bridge courses' targeting students up to grade 12. He said that it has been decided to stop tuition centers and 'bridge courses' targeting students who will be admitted to class 11 after SEE. 'The decision has been made to stop it immediately as the bridge course will drag students who have given SEE,' Minister Pokharel said. Some institutions have been conducting 'entrance' exam preparation classes for admission to class 1. Various institutions have also started conducting such programs for admission to various classes of large private schools. 'entrance' and 'bridge course' classes are conducted for admission to class 11 in various subjects including science, management, A-level after passing SEE exam. In the case of institutions registered with the Ministry of Education and permitted to provide educational counseling services, preparatory classes and language teaching, a call was made to renew them in 2081. Those institutions could not be renewed since 2075. According to the government's decision, it has been amended in accordance with the guidelines and it is mentioned that institutions that did not renew before 2075 Shrawan 14 and received approval from the ministry before 2075 will be given a chance to renew their institutions once. Out of about 1,500 institutions registered, only 700 have been renewed, according to the ministry's data. Although most of the institutions are registered for educational counseling, ministry officials claim that they are not registered for preparatory classes and 'bridge courses'.
