A woman has been murdered in her home in Palti village of Narharinath-3. Police have said that a 27-year-old local, Manpura Budha, was murdered on Monday morning. District Police Chief DSP Him Bahadur Khatri said that the deceased's husband, Kashiram Budha, 29, has been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the murder. He said that the deceased may have been beaten to death as there was a deep wound on his head. DSP Khatri said that a team led by Police Inspector Barma Yadav from the District Police has reached Kumalgaun and is questioning the deceased's neighbors.
Around 4:15 am on Monday, Kashiram himself had come to the Kumalgaun Area Police Office and informed that four unknown people had beaten his wife to death.
Immediately, a team of 6 people led by Deputy Inspector of Police (SI) Rakbir KC went to the spot and conducted a preliminary investigation. The deceased's relatives are going to the scene. Double Adhikari, who is related to the deceased's grandfather, said that he heard that he was beaten to death. According to him, the deceased has 3 children. A one-and-a-half-year-old and a 4-year-old son and a 7-year-old daughter.
