The Secondary Education Examination (SEE) will be conducted across the country from next Thursday. According to the Examination Controller Office, 512,421 students will be appearing in the examination for class 10.
257,613 girls, 254,811 boys and 7 other students will be appearing in the examination, said Examination Controller Tukaraj Adhikari.
The examination will be conducted at 1,966 examination centers, including Everest School in Japan. 23 people are participating from Everest School in Japan.
The Adhikari said that 73,500 human resources will be mobilized for the examination, including center heads, assistant center heads, invigilators, assistants and security personnel. ‘The exam materials including question papers have reached the district headquarters of all districts. The work of exam management will be done at the provincial level,’ he said.
The examination is scheduled to start from Chaitra 19 and end on 29. The National Examination Board had made the time table public on Magh 7.
The exam will be conducted from 8 am to 11 am. As per the schedule, the first day will be the compulsory English subject exam. On the second day, compulsory Nepali will be conducted on Chaitra 20, compulsory Mathematics on Chaitra 22, Science and Technology on Chaitra 23, Social Studies on Chaitra 24, all subjects of the optional first section on Chaitra 25, all subjects of the optional second section on Chaitra 26, and the remaining subjects of the technical stream will be conducted on Chaitra 27, 28 and 29.
The office has stated that the exam for both regular and grade-advancement groups will be held according to the same schedule. The use of electronic devices that use Bluetooth chips such as mobile phones and smart watches has been banned in the exam hall. There is an arrangement for the center head to facilitate the examination of disabled, pregnant and childless candidates.
