Shobha Pathak, who filed a complaint against UML leader Mahesh Basnet, has again reached the District Police Complex, Kathmandu. A rape complaint was registered against Basnet on 25 Chaitra 2080. But the government prosecutor decided to keep it under wraps, citing insufficient evidence. Pathak has been saying that she was wronged during the Oli government. And, after the formation of the new government, she reached the police office again on Sunday. The police have informed about the old case and said that the matter should be resolved in the court. According to Kathmandu Police Spokesperson Pawan Bhattarai, Pathak has filed a petition in the High Court against the government prosecutor's decision. The police can do something about moving the process forward only after that petition is resolved. After this, Pathak has reached the government prosecutor's office.
