Nepali Congress leader and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has been arrested by the police.

 His personal secretary Janak Bhatta informed that he was arrested from his house in Suryabinayak, Bhaktapur. He had reached the police residence at 5 am to arrest him.

After receiving a letter from the Home Ministry to arrest former Home Minister Lekhak, the police have started an investigation into a murder case on charges of suppressing the Gen-G movement.

After the Home Ministry filed a complaint, the police issued an urgent arrest warrant and arrested Lekhak.

After the police sought a written order for his arrest, they reached the police headquarters at night along with Home Secretary Rajkumar Shrestha and Law Secretary Parasar Dhungana.
