Mustang Air's helicopter, registration 9N-ANO, which took off from Kathmandu for Lapcha in Dolakha at around 10:25 this morning, has gone missing. The helicopter went missing a few minutes after landing in Lapcha, a Deputy Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority said.

According to initial information received, there were a total of 5 people on board the helicopter, including Captain Suraj Thapa Chhetri. Contact with the helicopter was lost shortly after the flight began and its condition has not been officially confirmed yet.

The concerned agencies are preparing to start search and rescue operations. It is suspected that it has gone missing in Lapcha in Dolakha. It is said that it is difficult to reach the potential area due to the heavy water around Dolakha. The army has been sent from Dolakha to the potential accident area.
