Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Shobita Gautam has taken charge. After taking charge, she has taken the first decision to form a task force to study the need for speedy justice for rape victims. Gautam made this decision immediately after taking oath at Sheetal Niwas on Friday and reaching Singha Dabar.
‘I hereby submit a study task force to identify and study the obstacles in the laws including the Criminal Code for heinous crimes such as rape and murder following the crime, sexual violence, punishment of offenders involved in crimes related to children and speedy justice for victims,’ the minister’s decision states.
