The government has decided to conduct further studies on the security agencies as per the report recommended by the Karki Commission and implement the recommendations immediately for the rest.

The newly formed government has decided to immediately implement the report submitted by the Gauri Bahadur Karki-led inquiry commission regarding the incidents that took place on 23 and 24 Bhadra. According to which, as mentioned in the commission's report, it has been decided to form an additional study committee in the case of security agencies and implement it as it says and immediately in the case of the rest.

The decision was taken at the first cabinet meeting held after Balendra Shah was appointed as the Prime Minister. The cabinet has designated Education, Science and Technology Minister Sasmit Pokharel as the government spokesperson. Similarly, it has been decided to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the Gen-G movement, said spokesperson Pokharel.
