The Nepal Bar, an umbrella organization of legal professionals, has called for an emergency meeting of the central advisory committee and office bearers.
According to Bar General Secretary Kedar Koirala, a joint meeting of these two committees will be held at 1:30 pm. The meeting will discuss issues including appointments to the judiciary.
Similarly, a meeting of the Bar's Constitutional Committee has also been called for today. The meeting of the committee led by Tikaram Bhattarai will be held at 4 pm.
The meeting will also discuss the appointments to the judiciary and the report of the Gauri Bahadur Karki-led inquiry commission formed to investigate the incidents of Bhadra 23 and 24, which was made public through the media on Wednesday.
