There is a possibility of rain and snowfall with thunder/lightning/wind/hail in many places of the country from Friday. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology of the Weather Forecasting Division, this will continue till Saturday.
On Friday afternoon, it will be cloudy in most places in the Himalayan region, generally cloudy in the hilly region, and partially cloudy in the Terai region. There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder/lightning/wind/hail in some places in the hilly and mountainous regions of all provinces and in one or two places in the Terai region.
There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder/lightning/wind/hail at some places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces at night and a few places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and one or two places in the Terai region.
On Saturday afternoon, Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces will be generally cloudy and the remaining areas will be partially cloudy. The department has stated that moderate rain and snowfall with thunder/lightning will occur at some places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati provinces and a few places in the mountainous and mountainous areas.
'There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall at one or two places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces at night,' the department has mentioned in the information.
