The Nepal Communist Party United has demanded the Nepal government's opinion on the news that India and China are preparing to operate a trade route through the Nepali land of Limpiyadhura, Kalapani, and Lipulekh.

The secretariat meeting of the NCP United has demanded the government's opinion on this matter to be made public immediately.

'It is well known that the western border of Nepal is the Mahakali River, which originates from Limpiyadhura, and the part east of the said river is Nepali territory according to the Sugauli Treaty of 1816. Recently, news has come to light that neighboring India and China will move through this area as a trade route. Since the Nepal government has the responsibility to protect the territorial and geographical integrity of the country, this meeting strongly demands the Nepal government to immediately make its opinion on this matter public.' Acting Chairman Ghanshyam Bhusal informed about the decision of the meeting.

He has also demanded the report of the commission formed to investigate the 23 and 24 Bhadra incidents to be made public. "We have received information that the Gauri Bahadur Karki-led commission formed to investigate the mass killings, arson and looting of important structures in the country, killing of security personnel, arson and looting of various commercial establishments and private properties during the Gen-G movement on 23 and 24 Bhadra has already submitted its report to the Nepal government. Our party strongly demands that the Nepal government immediately make the report public," the statement issued by the joint party states.

The government has not formally made the commission's report public so far.
