The writ petition against the withdrawal of the charge sheet filed against Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSWP) President Ravi Lamichhane in the case of organized crime and money laundering along with cooperative fraud is pending.

The hearing, which began on Monday in the bench of Vinod Sharma and Abdul Aziz Musalman, was also kept pending on Tuesday. On Monday, senior advocates Dinesh Tripathi and Surendra Bhandari argued on behalf of the writ petitioner. Today, further arguments will be held on behalf of the writ petitioner and Attorney General Savita Bhandari Baral will respond to her decision.

Earlier, the bench of Justices Saranga Subedi and Sunil Kumar Pokharel had ordered the withdrawal of the file containing the corrected decision on the revision of the case including Lamichhane. The re-hearing took place after the Attorney General's Office submitted a file to the Supreme Court on Sunday to amend the decision to withdraw Lamichhane's case as per the Supreme Court's demand.

Attorney General Bhandari had directed the District Government Attorney's Office to amend the cooperative fraud, organized crime and money laundering cases pending against Lamichhane in various districts. Senior advocates Dinesh Tripathi, Yubaraj Safal and Ayush Wadal had filed a writ petition against it.
