With the change in the number of political parties and MPs represented in the parliament, the Federal Parliament Secretariat has managed the parliamentary party offices accordingly.
'The parliamentary party offices within the secretariat have been managed according to the party's 'strength,'' Spokesperson Ekram Giri said.
In the elections held on Falgun 21, 182 MPs from the National Independent Party, 38 from the Congress, 25 from the UML, 17 from the NCP, 7 from the Shram Sanskriti Party, five from the RPP and one independent MP were elected.
The Congress and the UML have been managed in the offices of the previous parliamentary parties. The previous office under building no. 2 of the secretariat used by the NCP has been arranged for the National Independent Party.
The office building used by the RSP earlier has been arranged as the parliamentary party offices of the NCP, Shram Sanskriti and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party. 'That is a short-term arrangement, after the under-construction parliament building is completed, the party offices will be located within the same building,' said spokesperson Giri. Separate 'chambers' have also been arranged for all MPs in the new parliament building.
The Federal Parliament Secretariat is preparing to administer the oath of office and secrecy to the newly elected members of the House of Representatives. The secretariat has already called on the elected MPs to participate in the oath-taking ceremony through a notice on Chaitra 20.
The oath-taking ceremony has been organized on Chaitra 12 at 2 pm. The secretariat requests that you arrive two hours before the scheduled time in formal or culturally appropriate attire.

Article 88 of the Constitution of Nepal stipulates that ‘a member of each House of the Federal Parliament shall take an oath in accordance with federal law before participating in a meeting of the House or any of its committees for the first time.’
Article 91 (5) of the Constitution stipulates that the meeting of the House of Representatives shall be presided over by the senior member among the members present in case the election of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives has not been held or both posts are vacant. After the oath-taking ceremony, the newly elected members will be provided with the logo of the House of Representatives member, the Constitution, Parliament Rules, and materials related to the service facilities of the officers and members of the Federal Parliament.
The construction work of the physical infrastructure inside the hall has been completed, while some technical work has reached the final stage. Spokesperson Giri clarified that management work is being done from various aspects, including security. There is a constitutional provision for the President to call a Parliament session on the recommendation of the government. The Secretariat has stated that preparations for the Parliament session will begin after the session is called.
