Snowfall has occurred in the high Himalayan region after the rains since Friday. The snowfall has affected life and highways have also been blocked in some places. Locals who have come down to the valley in the Dhorpatan area and herders who have reached the valley with their cattle and buffaloes have been affected by the snowfall. Most people are now stuck indoors, and there is a shortage of grass for the cattle. Narmati Pun, a local from Dhorpatan, said that most of them are feeding the dry grass (bato) that they had kept in the shed earlier. Due to the cold, people are staying indoors by heating the fire. Dhorpatan's Syalpakhe, Navi, Chentung, Niseldhor, Deurali and other areas have accumulated thick snow, while the valley also looks black. The Patihalne section of the Mid-Hill Highway has also been blocked due to the rain and snowfall. The snowfall has made it impossible to operate vehicles in a 10-km section towards Rukum and Baglung. Superintendent of Police Tilak Bharati said that efforts are being made by locals and the police to clear the road after removing the snowfall. He said that continuous rain and snowfall have made it difficult to work. The police have made preparations to safely release vehicles only after the rain stops. In Bajura in the far west, heavy snowfall has also occurred in the high Lekali areas along with continuous rain. Locals have been affected due to snowfall and cold, while the Krishi Gyan Kendra has stated that the rain has provided relief to farmers. The administration has urged the general public to be vigilant.

After the snowfall, snowfall has occurred in the Lekali areas and villages of Badimalika, Budhiganga Triveni, Budhinanda Municipality, Himali, Khaptad Chhededah, Gaumul, Swamikartik, and Jagannath Rural Municipality. Locals including Bichhya, Rugin, Bandhu in Himali, Amlis, Dahakot in Gaumul, Kuru, Pandusain in Budhinanda, Khaptad, Chhede Daha and others have been most affected due to snowfall. Acting Chief District Officer Laxman Pudasaini informed that snowfall and heavy rain are occurring in the Lekali region.

The Mid-Hill Highway has been blocked due to heavy snowfall in Rukum East. The Lukum-Patihalna section in Bhume Rural Municipality-1 has been blocked due to continuous snowfall since Friday night. Dozens of vehicles and passengers have been stranded due to the blockage of the highway.
