The staff of the Armed Police Force Nepal Border Security Force in Khakraula, Kailali, including Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Pradeep Poudel, have been recalled from their duties. According to Armed Police Force spokesperson DIG Bishnu Prasad Bhatta, the team has been brought to Kathmandu to investigate the negligence in the unit's security. On Chaitra 4, a group involved in smuggling had entered the Armed Police Force office without authorization. Bhatta said that even when the Armed Police Force story break attempted to assault the staff, they did not use force and that the unit did not have the necessary security.
'The head office will seriously investigate the reasons why force was not used and unit security was not paid attention to even when an attempt was made to enter the office and assault the commander,' Bhatta said. 'Although the head office is aware of DSP Poudel's activeness in preventing smuggling, it seems that the necessary attention was not paid to unit security.'
Armed Police Force Nepal No. 7 Baidyanath Bahini Headquarters Kailali has also formed an investigation committee under the chairmanship of SP Anil Karki to investigate this incident.
A team has now been sent from Kailali to the place where it was recalled.
