Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal and various ministers have inspected the Federal Parliament Building under construction in the Singha Durbar premises.
Home Minister Aryal, along with Foreign Minister Balananda Sharma, Health and Population Minister Dr Sudha Gautam, and Women, Children and Senior Citizens Minister Shraddha Shrestha, inspected various structures of the Parliament Building and obtained information. They inspected the new 'multipurpose hall' prepared for holding Parliament meetings, the under-construction House of Representatives and the National Assembly Hall.
During the inspection, Home Minister Aryal informed that all preparations for the meeting room for the oath-taking of newly elected members of the House of Representatives were in place. He said that the construction team had informed that arrangements have been made to hold a meeting of the House of Representatives if necessary.
Stating that the seat planning and furniture management inside the building are satisfactory, he informed that the installation of microphones and screens is also progressing at a rapid pace. He said that despite the temporary management, the furniture and technology used are of high quality and the work has gained momentum.
The Department of Urban Development and Building Construction has stated that the construction of the Parliament Building has reached the final stage. Once the Parliament Building, which is being constructed on an area of more than 156 ropanis, is ready, all the activities of the Federal Parliament will be conducted from this new structure. According to Pramendra Krishna Shrestha, head of the Tundi-SEC JV project, which is constructing the building, there will be 12 buildings including the Federal Parliament Building, the House of Representatives Building, the National Assembly Building, the Special Chamber, the Parliamentary Party Office Building, the Parliamentary Committee Building and other offices.

Ministers have planted trees in the premises of the Federal Parliament Building under construction in the Singha Durbar premises. Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Anil Kumar Sinha, Minister for Forests and Environment Madhav Prasad Chaulagain, Minister for Foreign Affairs Balananda Sharma, Minister for Health and Population Dr Sudha Gautam and Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens Shraddha Shrestha planted trees. Rudraksha, kapur, dhupi and samika plants were planted.
