The oath-taking of the newly elected members of the House of Representatives is scheduled to take place on Chaitra 2. The Federal Parliament Secretariat has fixed the date for the oath-taking of the lawmakers after holding discussions with representatives of the national party recognized political parties on Thursday in accordance with the new mandate.
Joint Secretary and Spokesperson of the Secretariat Ekram Giri told Kantipur that the oath-taking of the lawmakers will take place on Chaitra 2 at 2 pm.
Nepal Communist Party MP Ramesh Kumar Malla informed that the Federal Parliament Secretariat has held discussions with representatives of the national party recognized political parties on the issue of holding the oath-taking of the newly elected members of the House of Representatives on Chaitra 2 in accordance with the new mandate.
Six parties have received national party recognition from the House of Representatives elections held on Falgun 21. This time, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sanskriti Party, Congress, UML, NCP, Shram Sanskriti, and RPP are being represented in the parliament. There will also be one independent MP.
The Election Commission submitted the election report with the final results to President Ram Chandra Poudel on Thursday.
