The Ministry of Home Affairs has warned that there is a possibility of strong winds, rain and snowfall in various parts of the country on Friday and Saturday along with the weather change.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority under the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notice on Thursday stating that heavy rain and snowfall is likely to occur in some places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces on Friday as per the forecast of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. Similarly, there is a possibility of strong winds in the Terai districts of Lumbini Province, including Dang and Nepalgunj.
The notice issued by the Deputy Secretary of the Disaster Response Branch, Ram Bahadur KC, states that strong winds (about 119 km per hour) are likely to blow in the districts around Biratnagar, Dhankuta and Dharan in the eastern region on Saturday.
The Authority has urged people to be alert as there is a risk of trees falling, weak structures and roofs being blown off, as well as electricity and communication services being affected due to the wind. It has been urged to adopt special precautions, citing that there have been human casualties due to the storm in recent days.

There is a possibility of heavy rain/snowfall in one or two hilly and mountainous places in Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces.
