An agreement has been reached on the NRNA chairman. As per the agreement, Chairman Hemraj Sharma has been selected. Chairman candidate Rabin Bajracharya supported Sharma in a press conference on Sunday evening. He informed that he supported Sharma for the chairmanship as the general convention of the unity was held and the association would be financially burdened if it went to the elections.
Bajracharya, who backed out of the chairmanship claim, has agreed to remain as the vice-chairman.
Similarly, Rabin Sherchan, who had earlier withdrawn his candidacy, will also be given the vice-chairmanship post.
Along with this, Election Commissioner TB Karki said that an agreement has been reached in all the working committees of the NRNA. He also said that the names of those elected to the remaining posts will be made public on Monday.
The 12th general convention of the NRNA began in Kathmandu on Falgun 30.
