Amid the evolving security situation in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Nepali Embassy in Abu Dhabi has urged Nepalis there not to spread rumors, make misleading comments, and post photos and videos that create confusion about the security situation on social media.

In the ‘Advisory-3’ issued by the Embassy on Sunday, Nepalis have been warned to stay away from such activities as they are against the laws of the UAE. According to the Embassy, engaging in illegal or unauthorized activities prohibited by the laws of the UAE can result in imprisonment for at least 1 to 3 years and a fine of 100,000 to 200,000 dirhams.

The Embassy has requested all Nepalis to fully comply with the security standards set by the UAE government and to convey the official information they have received to their friends and community. Understanding the seriousness of the current situation, the Embassy has once again urged not to post any photos or videos on social media that spread confusion about the security situation and not to broadcast or promote any material.

Similarly, the Nepali community has also been warned not to take photos, approach or touch the debris that has been cleared by the air defense system and has fallen to the ground.

The embassy has requested to visit the official Facebook pages of the Nepali Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Nepali Consulate General in Dubai for updated information. Nepalis have also been requested to obtain information only through the notices issued by the official bodies of the UAE.
