The Supreme Court has refused to issue an interim order on the writ petition challenging the cancellation of Kishori Sah Kamal's candidacy. The Election Commission had cancelled Sah's candidacy in Dhanusha-1, saying that she was blacklisted by the Credit Information Center.

A bench of Justices Binod Sharma and Meghraj Pokharel has ordered that an interim order will not be issued in favor of Sah. With this, the way has been cleared for NCP's Matrika Yadav, who was given a certificate of victory by the Election Commission, to take the oath as an MP.

After the cancellation of her candidacy in Dhanusha-1 and the declaration of NCP's Yadav as the winner, the separate writ petitions filed by Sah and Yadav were heard together.

The Election Commission had cancelled Sah's candidacy two days before the voting, saying that he was on the blacklist of the Credit Information Center. After that, Sah had gone to the Supreme Court. Due to lack of time, voting was conducted with Sah's election symbol on the ballot paper.

After the counting of votes, the Returning Officer's office had issued a certificate of victory to NCP candidate Yadav. Sah had also filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court against that.
