Seven people have died in a microbus accident involving pilgrims returning from visiting the Manakamana temple. Police have said that the deceased are two women and five men who had come to visit the Manakamana temple.

A microbus carrying Bagmati Province 006 Kha 8430 fell about 150 meters off the road in Sahid Lakhan-3 Kantar, Gorkha.

There were 14 pilgrims, a driver and a co-driver on board the microbus, said Suraj Aryal, chief of the District Traffic Police Office, Gorkha.

The seven injured have been rescued and taken to Aabukhaireni Hospital.

Police have also said that detailed details of the incident are yet to be released.
