The 11th National Convention of the Federation of Indigenous Peoples of Nepal is scheduled to be held in Kathmandu on Chaitra 25 and 26.

The Convention Organizing Committee Coordinator Gelje Lama Sherpa gave this information at a press conference organized by the Federation on Friday. According to him, the opening ceremony will be held at Nepal Pragya Pratishthan Kamaladi under the chief guestship of President Ram Chandra Poudel of the Convention, and the closed session will be held at the Swayambhu Star Banquet on Chaitra 26.

The organizers have stated that the main slogan of the Convention will be 'Ensure the rights of indigenous peoples over natural resources, water, land and forests, and re-nominate provinces based on the identity of ancient civilization and historical background'.
