Mohan Prasad Oli, father of former Prime Minister and UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, passed away this morning at the age of 97. His body was cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat. Mohan Prasad Oli had been unwell for the past few days.
After feeling unwell last night, he was taken to the Nepal-Korea Friendly Hospital in Gatthaghar, Bhaktapur.
He passed away this morning during treatment. Mohan Prasad Oli had been living at his daughter's residence in Gatthaghar.
His house in Jhapa was set on fire during the Gen-G movement on Bhadra 23 and 24. He had not returned to Jhapa since then.
