The 'Lumbini Province-Level Small and Cottage Industries, Cultural, Tourism and Agriculture Festival-2082' has started in Ghorahi from Thursday. The festival, organized by the Federation of Nepal Cottage and Small Industries District Branch, Dang, will run until Chaitra 15.
The festival has been organized with the slogan 'Development and expansion of small and cottage industries, the basis of prosperity of Lumbini Province'. The festival was inaugurated by Lumbini Province's Minister for Industry, Tourism and Transport Prachanda Bikram Neupane.
In his inaugural speech, Minister Neupane expressed the view that the government and the private sector should work together to develop entrepreneurship. Expressing the view that domestic products should be promoted by linking them with tourism, he said that it is necessary to involve youth in cottage and small industries for economic transformation.
At the program, Lav Adhikari, President of the Federation of Nepal Cottage and Small Industries, Dang, and Umesh Prasad Singh, Central President of the Federation of Nepal Cottage and Small Industries, said that the government needs to run effective programs to increase youth attraction in small and cottage industries.
Huma Kumari DC, Deputy Mayor of Ghorahi Sub-metropolitan City, Ganesh Prasad Adhikari, Lumbini Province President of the Federation of Nepal Cottage and Small Industries, Shanti Sharma, Central Vice President of the Federation of Nepal Cottage and Small Industries, Women Entrepreneurs Committee, Komal Shahi, Chief of the National Agriculture Modernization Program, Lamahi, Kiran Kumar Regmi, Former President of the Federation of Nepal Cottage and Small Industries, Dang, and others expressed their best wishes for the festival.
