Nepali Congress candidate from Pyuthan, Dr. Govinda Raj Pokharel, has made his election expenses public. Pokharel, who is a candidate for the post of member of the House of Representatives, has made the details of the amount spent on the election public to the Election Office, Pyuthan.

According to Pokharel, Rs. 2,480,215 have been spent on the election.

According to the letter submitted by Pokharel to the Election Office, Rs. 3,75,000 has been spent on operating 2 vehicles for 25 days, Rs. 80,000 for air travel for two persons for 4 times, Rs. 1,75,000 for voter training for 260 people at the municipal level, Rs. 9,60,000 for campaigning in 64 wards, Rs. 6,40,000 for liaison office expenses in Jumri and 64 wards, Rs. 2,40,000 for campaigning materials and Rs. 10,000 for registering nominations, totaling Rs. 2,480,215.

Pokharel has announced that he has opened an account with Nepal Investment Bank Bijuwar and has made election expenses accordingly.
