Although the direct counting of votes for the 2082 House of Representatives election has been completed, the counting of votes for the proportional representation is still ongoing. As of 10:30 am, 1.4 million votes have been counted. Now, five hundred thousand votes are left to be counted.

When 1.4 million 12,229 votes were counted, the National Independent Party received 47.99 percent of the votes. This is three times more than the Nepali Congress, which is in second place. Now, five hundred thousand votes are left to be counted. According to the Election Commission, 1.9 million votes fell towards the proportional representation.

The Rashtriya Swatantra Party, which has already received nearly five million votes, is in first place, the Nepali Congress is in second place, the CPN-UML is in third place, the Nepal Communist Party is in fourth place, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party is in fifth place, and the Shram Sanskriti Party is in sixth place, crossing the threshold and winning seats.

Seats are obtained through the proportional system only after at least three percent of the total votes (threshold) are deducted from the proportional system.

Who is likely to add how many seats?

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) that won 125 seats directly is likely to add 55-58 seats.

Similarly, the CPN-UML that won 9 seats directly is likely to add 16 seats through the proportional system.

The Nepal Communist Party that won 7 seats directly is likely to get 9 seats.

The Shram Sanskriti Party, which won 3 seats directly despite being established only four months ago, is likely to add 4 seats.

Similarly, the RPP, which won one seat directly, is likely to get 4 more seats through proportional representation.
