As the counting of votes continues in Nepal, neighboring countries have congratulated the Rastriya Swatantra Party, which is close to two-thirds of the votes. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairman Ravi Lamichhane and senior leader Balen Shah over the phone. He informed about this through X.

Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairman Ravi Lamichhane has praised Modi for respecting the democratic mandate of the Nepali people.

He expressed his commitment to developing relations between the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Nepal government based on mutual respect and shared prosperity. Similarly, he said that ‘development diplomacy’ would be a priority.

Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Togbe also congratulated Ravi and Balen. ‘Congratulations to Balen Shah and Ravi Lamichhane for winning the general election in Nepal. I would also like to thank the Nepali people for successfully conducting this election,’ Togbe wrote on social media X. He said that he is willing to work with the new government to deepen the friendship between the two countries.

Bangladeshi Prime Minister Tariq Rahman congratulated the Nepali people and government on the peaceful completion of the election. He expressed his desire to work closely with the new government to further the long-standing friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

Earlier, the US, India and China had congratulated Nepal after the election.

Pakistan has also congratulated Nepal on the successful completion of the elections. In a message sent by Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, it is mentioned that it wants to work closely with the new government of Nepal.
